Am 09.06. finden in Sachsen Kommunalwahlen statt. Bei dieser werden die städtischen Gremien bzw. deren Mitglieder neugewählt. Also der Dresdner Stadtrat und die 10 Stadtbezirksbeiräte bzw. 9 Ortschaftsräte.

Was wird gewählt?

Der Stadtrat vertritt alle Dresdner Einwohner*innen, der Stadtbezirks-/Ortschaftsrat ist für den jeweiligen Stadtteil/ die Ortschaft zuständig. Für die Stadtratswahl wurde Dresden in 11 verschiedene Wahlkreise eingeteilt. Diese sind aber nicht deckungsgleich zu den 10 Stadtbezirken und 9 Ortschaften, für die der Beirat gewählt wird. In welchem Bezirk, bzw. Wahlkreis ihr lebt könnt ihr auf der Webseite der Stadt Dresden herausfinden. Dort gibt es neben einer großen Excel-Tabelle mit dem kompletten Straßenverzeichnis, auch Themenstadtpläne, die euch direkt zeigen in welchem Wahlkreis ihr wohnt.

Wer darf wählen?

Es dürfen alle Menschen mit EU-Staatsangehörigkeit wählen, die seit

mind. 3 Monaten in Dresden leben (also hier seit 3 Monaten gemeldet sind) und am Wahltag

18 Jahre oder älter sind. Das gilt bei den Kommunalwahlen in ganz Sachsen so,

also auch in bspw. Leipzig, Oschatz oder Bautzen. Bei denen am 9.6. auch gewählt wird

 

Kann ich Briefwahl beantragen?

Ja, den Antrag zur Briefwahl könnt ihr bis spätestens 7.6. bei der Stadt stellen. Die ausgefüllten Wahlunterlagen müssen bis zum 9.6. 18.00 Uhr wieder im Rathaus sein, um ausgezählt zu werden.

 

Was brauche ich zum Wählen?

Anfang Mai solltet ihr eure Wahlbenachrichtigung bekommen, in der steht in welchem Wahllokal ihr wählen könnt. Die braucht ihr am Wahltag auf jeden Fall. Bewahrt die deshalb gut auf! Ansonsten müsst ihr noch euren Personalausweis mitnehmen. Ansonsten erscheint einfach bis 18 Uhr in eurem Wahllokal und wählt mit. Falls ihr Angst habt das zu vergessen: Macht Briefwahl :)

 

Wie viele Stimmen habe ich?

Das Wahlverfahren bei den Kommunalwalen ist etwas kompliziert. Ganz simpel könnte man sagen: Es treten mehrere Parteien an, die eine Liste mit Personen aufstellen. Jedoch wählt man nicht etwa die einzelne Partei, sondern man hat 3 Stimmen, die man auf Personen verteilen kann. Egal ob man alle Stimmen Person 1 von Partei A gibt oder seine Stimmen auf mehrere Parteien verteilt.

Die Sitzverteilung wird dann über das sogenannte Sainte-Laguë berechnet. Wie das funktioniert, könnt ihr bspw. Bei der Bundeszentale für politische Bildung nachlesen.

 

Wo kann ich mich über Inhalte informieren?

Für eine gut Wahlentscheidung braucht es selbstverständlich eine gute Auseinandersetzung mit den Wahlinhalten. Dafür bereiten wir gerade ein Tool vor und halten euch zudem bei diversen Aktionen auf dem Campus, sowie unseren Social-Media-Kanälen auf dem Laufenden. Schaut doch mal vorbei.

Who can vote?

How many votes do I have?

The voting procedure for local elections is somewhat complicated. In simple terms, you could say that there are several parties running and they put together a list of candidates. However, you do not vote for the individual party, but have 3 votes that you can allocate to people. Regardless of whether you give all your votes to person 1 from party A or distribute your votes among several parties.
